Hi
I just wanted to say thank you for the
great forward thinking of Lawrence. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a wireless signal when in Lawrence and was able to check email and such on my laptop. It meant that I didn't have to rely on slower and costly Vodafone GPRS. If only more places in NZ were as forward thinking. The cities don't even have this sort of service.

We are pleased to announce that in the majority of the cafes and restaurants free internet access is available for visiting customers.
Today the marks the integration of the website of the Tuapaka Lawrence Community Website with the Lawrence Free Public Internet Access.
When visitors log on the free internet service whilst in Lawrence, you will be welcomed on the Lawrence Internet Splash page and routed through our website.
From there - via the Internet Access tab - you can access the internet.
We also will be able to cater for the visitors to Lawrence who do not carry a laptop computer. The Community Company has supported the purchase of pc computers that will be placed in the various cafes to offer free internet access whilst you enjoy a coffee or a meal. In addition free internet access is available at the tourist Information Center.
